How do I access funding?
When you contact Train to Gain you’ll meet an independent Business Link Adviser who will work with you to identify the right training and other skills solutions to drive your business forward. Part of your business adviser’s role is to provide you with advice on funding your training. They will be able to help you identify and apply for any available sources of funding, from both Train to Gain and a range of other sources.

When you get involved with Train to Gain you’ll start working with an independent Business Link Adviser. Your business adviser will be able to tell you about the funding available from Train to Gain, as well as other sources of funding that you may be eligible for.

What qualifications does Train to Gain cover?
Train to Gain offers broad-ranging skills advice. Your Business Link Adviser may well recommend that some of your employees train for recognised qualifications. They will consider all available relevant qualifications, as well as any other solutions to your skills needs.
The recommendations will be tailored to the needs of your business, and may range from Skills for Life to degree-level training and beyond.
Your business adviser at Business Link will recommend suitable training providers who can assess your employees individually and provide the training to help them achieve the qualifications. For more information, see Working with a training provider

How does Train to Gain work?
The Train to Gain Service offers expert, tailored skills advice to businesses of all sizes and in all sectors.
Once you get involved with the Service through a business adviser at Business Link or if you have 5,000 or more employees, the National Employer Service, you will be supported as you give your employees the skills to drive your business forward. While the training may require a financial investment from you, the services of the Business Link Adviser and the National Employer Service, come at no cost to your business.

What courses are available?
Train to Gain offers broad-ranging skills advice. Your independent business adviser at Business Link may well recommend that some of your employees undergo training courses. The business adviser will consider all available courses, from a range of training providers including public colleges and private training companies.
If no suitable course is available, your Business Link Adviser may put you in touch with a training provider who can create a course tailored to your specific needs.
Funding for some courses is available through Train to Gain. For an overview, see Who is eligible
