How do I access funding?

When you contact Train to Gain you’ll meet an independent Adviser at Business Link who will work with you to identify the right training and other skills solutions to drive your business forward. Part of your business broker’s role is to provide you with advice on funding your training. They will be able to help you identify and apply for any available sources of funding, from both Train to Gain and a range of other sources.

What courses are available?

Train to Gain offers broad-ranging skills advice. Your independent business broker at Business Link may well recommend that some of your employees undergo training courses. The business broker will consider all available courses, from a range of training providers including public colleges and private training companies.

If no suitable course is available, your business broker may put you in touch with a training provider who can create a course tailored to your specific needs.

Funding for some courses is available through Train to Gain. For an overview, see Who is eligible

From January 2009 we'll also be offering funding for a range of smaller, focussed training programmes for small and medium sized private sector businesses. Find out more about the extra support for your business.
